Russia announced the conquest of three villages in eastern Ukraine, while bombings in the Kherson region led to the death of four people.

On September 17, Russia declared that it had conquered three villages in eastern Ukraine, in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, areas that had been recaptured by Ukraine three years ago. The Russian army claimed to have taken control of the localities of Pișceane and Tîhe in Kharkiv and Prîvillea in Dnipropetrovsk. According to a recent analysis, Russia controlled 19% of Ukraine's territory, compared to 7% before the invasion in February 2022.

At the same time, bombings in the Kherson region led to the deaths of four people, including a child, and an attack in an area controlled by Ukraine resulted in one death and 14 injuries. In the context of these events, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will meet with American President Donald Trump on October 17.
