During the night, Russia attacked the facilities of the Ukrainian company Naftogaz, the main supplier of oil and gas in the Poltava region, causing significant damage. This was the 19th attack on Naftogaz facilities since the beginning of the year, according to a company statement. Additionally, Russian forces launched an artillery barrage against the combined heat and power plant in Kherson, marking the fourth attack on this facility since the beginning of February. In the last 24 hours, at least five separate attacks have been recorded on the site. To support Naftogaz in the winter season 2025-2026, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has allocated over 1.2 billion euros, mostly in the form of emergency loans, to help mitigate the impact of the conflict on natural gas production, which has drastically decreased.
