Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has announced that Russia will assist Iran in replenishing depleted uranium stockpiles needed for use in nuclear power plants, noting that this was included in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Lavrov stressed that after the US withdrawal from the agreement, Iran no longer has commitments on enrichment limits, which allows for further discussion on the issue. He also criticized the International Atomic Energy Agency for its assessments, demanding guarantees for the respect of its prerogatives in dealing with Iran.
