The drills, announced by the Belarusian defense ministry, are aimed at assessing military readiness and fending off possible aggression. Ukrainian President Zelenski has warned that Russia may have hidden agendas in Belarus. President Lukashenko also said the drills would take place far from EU borders, denying aggressive intentions towards Poland and the Baltic states.
