Between August 21-28, Romania carried out an intervention mission in Galicia, Spain, to combat forest fires. The specialized national module, consisting of 51 firefighters, operated under the coordination of the Spanish authorities, intervening in regions such as Ourense and Lugo, where conditions were extremely difficult. The mission included limiting the spread of active hotspots, reconnaissance of the terrain, and protecting unaffected areas. This action was carried out at the request of the Spanish authorities through the European Civil Protection Mechanism.
