In a recent night, authorities in the Samara region of Russia declared a rocket alert, urging residents to take shelter. Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev did not report any damage, but images analyzed by the independent publication Astra showed explosions and a fire at the Kuibyshev oil refinery, one of the largest in the region, owned by Rosneft.
This facility has already been the target of previous attacks, including a drone strike in April. In the Chuvash Republic, a rocket attack targeted the city of Cheboksary, and officials are assessing the damage and casualties. The VNIIR-Progress factory, a key supplier for Russian drones, was hit by rockets, leading to the destruction of essential equipment. Air raid alerts were also issued in other regions, including Kurgan and Chelyabinsk.
Additionally, drones struck the Vladimir region, causing fires but no casualties. The mayor of Moscow reported that air defense shot down 12 drones approaching the capital. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that it intercepted 326 Ukrainian drones the previous night, without mentioning any missile interceptions.
