Robinson Tours, a tour operator based in Sofia, has declared insolvency, leaving dozens of Hungarian tourists without their paid vacations on the Bulgarian coast.

The travel operator Robinson Tours, registered in Sofia, announced that it no longer has financial resources to fulfill its obligations, thus triggering bankruptcy proceedings.

The company has left dozens of Hungarian tourists without their paid vacations on the Black Sea coast, and affected clients are advised to seek compensation from the insurer Axiom Insurance Company AD. Robinson Tours cited several factors for its financial collapse, including uncertainty in the Middle East, rising fuel prices, and fierce competition from low-cost companies.

Although it ceased operations in 2020 due to the pandemic, the company returned to the market with offers for 2026. Tourists, like Nikolay, reported last-minute cancellations and a lack of communication from the operator, and a Facebook group dedicated to affected passengers quickly gathered over 850 members.
