Record budget of 1.5 trillion dollars requested by Donald Trump for Defense. However, the Defense budget for 2027 does not allocate money for the war in Iran.

The Pentagon revealed on Tuesday more details about the defense budget of 1.5 trillion dollars, requested by President Donald Trump, for the fiscal year 2027, by far the largest annual increase in American defense spending since the post-World War II period.

The budget provides for an increase in the procurement of Lockheed Martin F-35 aircraft to 85 units per year and includes 102 billion dollars for the purchase of aircraft, as well as for research and development, which represents a 26% increase compared to the previous year.

The budget allocates 53.6 billion dollars for autonomous drone platforms and logistics intended to be used in war zones, as well as 21 billion dollars for munitions, anti-drone technologies, and advanced systems.

However, the budget does not include funds intended for the conflict with Iran. A senior Pentagon official stated that, considering the timeline for the allocation process, an additional budget request will likely be necessary to cover short-term operational costs and resupply needs generated by the conflict.
