David Anthony Burke, known by the stage name D4vd, has been charged with the murder of the teenager Celeste Rivas, whose dismembered body was found in the trunk of a Tesla registered in his name, in Los Angeles. Prosecutor Nathan Hochman announced that the 21-year-old rapper faces life imprisonment without the possibility of parole or even the death penalty, considering the aggravating circumstances, including sexual acts with a minor and the mutilation of a corpse. Rivas, originally from Riverside County, had been missing for several months at the age of 13. The body was discovered on September 8, after employees of a parking lot reported an unbearable smell coming from the vehicle. The car had been parked for nearly a month in an upscale area of Hollywood. This crime has generated considerable interest in the United States, given that D4vd gained popularity in 2022 with his song "Romantic Homicide."
