In Minneapolis, a street was filled with smoke following a confrontation between federal officers and protesters, who reacted to the fatal shooting of Renee Good on January 7. Officers, equipped with gas masks, used tear gas and grenades to disperse the crowd, while protesters threw snowballs and chanted "Our Streets." The incident was triggered by the stop of a man from Venezuela, who was illegally in the U.S. After attempting to flee, the man was attacked by three individuals, and an officer fired in self-defense. The two individuals who intervened are now in custody. The shootings occurred about 7.2 kilometers from where Renee Good was killed.
