This involves a combination of oxytocin, an essential hormone for tissue regeneration, and an Alk5 inhibitor, which blocks the TGF-beta pathway, involved in chronic inflammation. Preclinical experiments have shown that elderly male mice treated with this combination lived over 70% longer than untreated ones, showing significant improvements in strength, agility, and memory. Although short-term effects were also observed in females, only males benefited from an extended lifespan. These results suggest that biological differences between sexes may influence the effectiveness of anti-aging therapies.
