An 18-year-old teenager, identified as Remigiusz Ż., has been accused in Poland of preparing a mass attack on a school, in support of the Islamic State. Authorities stated that the suspect was gathering information about weapons, explosives, and attack techniques, planning an attack for the end of 2024/2025. He is accused of inciting violence and hatred on national and religious grounds via the internet.
During the investigation, materials promoting jihad and lists of potential victims were discovered. Although Poland has not suffered attacks related to the Islamic State, authorities remain on alert due to sabotage threats associated with Russia's activities. If convicted, the teenager faces up to 18 years in prison.
