Prime Minister Donald Tusk has announced that Poland will reintroduce temporary border controls with Germany and Lithuania from July 7 in response to rising uncontrolled migration. The measures come amid criticism from the nationalist opposition and recent stricter controls imposed by Germany. Tusk emphasized the need for these controls to prevent abuses linked to illegal migration, while German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Germany and Poland were working closely together to tackle this common problem.
