Cezary Tomczyk, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland, stated that the country supports the strengthening of the European Union's air defense, but prioritizes national projects. In November, the ministry will announce investments in detection, jamming, and neutralization technologies for hostile drones, as part of an extensive air defense program. Although he did not specify the value of the investment, Tomczyk emphasized that Polish companies should receive at least half of the contracts. The national system will complement a future common EU system. Poland intends to use the EU's SAFE lending program to finance the anti-drone shield, considering it has received 43.7 billion euros through this program. The new elements of the anti-drone system are expected to become operational within three months, and the entire system within two years.
