Polish military commanders announced that Polish and allied air forces have launched operations in response to Russia's attacks on Ukraine. In this context, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) issued a directive imposing restrictions in Polish airspace, including the temporary closure of airports in Radom and Lublin.
PANSA spokesperson Marcin Hadaj mentioned that these airports could be closed for approximately one hour and that aircraft in Polish airspace must avoid certain areas in the east of the country. Additionally, countries on NATO's eastern flank are on high alert following recent Russian incursions into the airspace of Estonia and Poland. Polish aircraft also intercepted a Russian aircraft conducting a reconnaissance mission without a flight plan.
