Peter Jackson was honored with the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, the award being presented by actor Elijah Wood. Jackson emphasized the importance of the festival in saving the 'Lord of the Rings' franchise, considering it a huge gamble. At the same time, Elon Musk intensified his criticisms of Christopher Nolan and his film 'The Odyssey', particularly regarding the casting of actress Lupita Nyong'o in the role of Helen of Troy. Musk supported the views of conservative commentator Matt Walsh, who questioned Nolan's choice, stating that it was a mistake because he changed the races of the characters. Musk added that Nolan is seeking awards, insinuating that his casting choices are influenced by the representation standards of the Oscars. Musk's criticisms also extended to actor Elliot Page, and he reminded that Homer described Helen as having light skin and blonde hair, considering that Nyong'o's casting would be an insult to the original work.
