The peace talks in Berlin between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the American delegation, led by Steve Witkoff, lasted five hours and focused on a 20-point peace plan. Zelensky stated that Ukraine is willing to give up NATO membership in exchange for post-conflict security guarantees, emphasizing that it is now Russia's turn to make compromises. Although Kremlin officials contested the plan before analyzing it, discussions will continue on Monday. During the meeting, Witkoff mentioned that significant progress had been made, and a new round of negotiations is scheduled for the following morning. European leaders will join the discussions to coordinate positions in response to Kremlin demands, amid fears that the U.S. might abandon Ukraine in favor of unilateral negotiations.
