A month and a half after Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Islamabad nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize. The decision comes after a period of intense tensions between the two nuclear-armed countries, and Trump claims he facilitated the deal through negotiations. Despite praise from Pakistan, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi denies US intervention. Pakistan is also seeking economic partnerships with the US, particularly in areas such as minerals and technology.
