OneTaste founder, Nicole Daedone, sentenced to nine years in prison

Nicole Daedone, the founder of the company OneTaste, was sentenced by a federal court in Brooklyn to nine years in prison and to pay approximately 12 million dollars in restitution after being found guilty of manipulating vulnerable women. The court also ruled that seven victims should receive total compensation of nearly 890,000 dollars.

Prosecutors argued that Daedone and her associates exerted psychological and financial pressure on members, convincing them that participation in sexual acts was necessary for achieving 'spiritual enlightenment.' OneTaste, founded in 2004, promoted 'orgasmic meditation,' a controversial practice that involved manual stimulation of women. In the same case, Rachel Cherwitz, former sales director, was sentenced to six and a half years in prison.

Daedone's lawyers announced their intention to appeal the verdict, highlighting the support received from her supporters.
