The allocation of the funds comes against the backdrop of Russia's massive and systematic Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which have cut electricity production by half compared to last winter. Jonas Gahr Store stressed the importance of the repair work before winter arrives and said that Norway is discussing with Kiev how best to use these funds.
