Musician Nicko McBrain, former drummer of Iron Maiden, harshly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump and his administration in an interview with The Telegraph. The artist said that Trump and his “gang of associates” should end up in prison.
McBrain, who lives in Florida, said he turned down an invitation from a Republican friend to play golf with the president. The musician said he is not drawn to politics, but criticized Trump’s narcissism, the scandal surrounding the Epstein files, and the war launched against Iran. He also said that Pete Hegseth “will end up in prison.”
The statements come ahead of the release of McBrain’s autobiography, “Hello Boys and Girls!”, scheduled for Thursday. The book is described by publisher HarperCollins as a personal account of the artist’s career and life with Iron Maiden.
The British band will begin the final leg of its anniversary “Run for Your Lives” tour in April, marking 50 years of activity. Iron Maiden will perform concerts through May and has been included on the list of artists expected to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2026. The ceremony is scheduled for November 14 in Los Angeles.
