The investigation stemmed from an email sent by the authorities to a former manager, which detailed concerns about visa illegalities, tax evasion and racial discrimination within the company. The former head of business and legal affairs in India, Nandini Mehta, has filed a lawsuit against Netflix in the US for alleged unlawful dismissal and racial and gender discrimination.
