Mark Rutte, the NATO Secretary General, stated that the recent strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran have considerable support in Europe. During a visit to Skopje, he said that the elimination of Iran's nuclear capability and its ballistic missile capabilities, as well as the death of leader Ali Khamenei, are well received by many NATO members. Although NATO is not directly involved in these actions, Rutte mentioned that allies feel safer due to these developments.
Additionally, NATO has announced adjustments in the positioning of its forces to respond to threats from Iran and other regions. The recent attack on Iran, which led to Khamenei's death, provoked responses from Tehran, including airstrikes against Israel and American military bases in the area. American President Donald Trump promised to continue the offensive until the complete destruction of the Iranian military program.
