At a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, an additional military aid of over 1 billion dollars for Ukraine was announced. This comes in the context of a new round of discussions between Russia and the United States, which have not made progress regarding the territories occupied by Russia.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized the importance of Ukraine being in a strong position during negotiations. The ministers criticized the Kremlin's lack of commitment to peace, and officials from several countries, including Norway, Poland, and Germany, announced purchases of American weapons for Ukraine.

These measures are part of the PURL program, which aims to support Ukraine militarily. Canada and the Netherlands have also pledged significant amounts for this program, while France is being pressured to contribute more.
