Poland will allocate 100 million euros for the European initiative PURL, which supports Ukraine through the purchase of weapons from the USA, announces the Polish Foreign Minister.

Poland will contribute 100 million euros to the European initiative PURL (Priority Needs List for Ukraine), which allows European countries to purchase weapons and ammunition from the USA for the Ukrainian army. The Polish Foreign Minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, made the announcement, emphasizing that this mechanism was established through an agreement between the US President, Donald Trump, and NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte.

The initiative allows for the purchase of military equipment that is then donated to Ukraine through NATO. Ukraine has established a list of priorities for the necessary equipment, and NATO allies are negotiating contributions. Although Poland initially chose not to participate, it later decided to join the initiative, without providing details about the reasons for the policy change. Other NATO countries have announced contributions exceeding two billion dollars for this program.
