Naftali Bennett, former Prime Minister of Israel, has said that Benjamin Netanyahu must resign, calling his current handling of the situation in Israel a "disaster". In an interview, Bennett emphasized that Netanyahu, who has been in power for 20 years, bears a great responsibility for the divisions in society. Bennett, who was instrumental in Netanyahu's ouster in 2021, suggests that the current government should strike a deal to free Gaza hostages, leaving the next government with the task of removing Hamas. He has also not ruled out a return to politics, as he is well-placed in the polls to face Netanyahu.
