Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, announced on Saturday evening that he will run for a new term in the upcoming elections. Invited to Channel 14, he answered affirmatively to the question of whether he intends to run in the elections and expressed confidence in his victory. The leader of the Likud party, Netanyahu, holds the record for the longest time spent leading the Israeli government, with over 18 years cumulatively. In the last elections in 2022, his right-wing bloc obtained 32 seats in the Knesset, and his allies secured an additional 32 seats.
