The survey, conducted by the nonpartisan health policy research group KFF, found that over 22 million people receive these subsidies, which are set to expire at the end of the year unless Congress extends them. Losing the subsidies would mean that average annual premium payments could nearly double by 2026. The prediction is that in the next year, around 4 million people would remain without health coverage because they could no longer afford it. Extending them would cost the federal government about 350 billion dollars over the next decade. The survey showed that 59% of Republicans and 57% of supporters of 'Make America Great Again' agree with extending the increased subsidies.
