The measure is part of the City Council's 'Air and Climate Plan', which aims to reduce emissions of harmful substances. The ban will cover all outdoor public places, except isolated areas, and non-compliance could be punishable by fines ranging from €40 to €240. The use of e-cigarettes will still be allowed.
