Former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, stated that the United States is not ready to have a woman as president, referring to Kamala Harris's failure in the race for the White House. In a discussion with actress Tracee Ellis Ross, Obama asserted that society still has a long way to grow, mentioning that many men do not feel comfortable being led by a woman.

This conversation took place in Brooklyn, New York, in the context of promoting her new book, "The Look." Although she has been an active supporter of the Democrats and campaigned for Harris, Obama has consistently dismissed speculation about a possible presidential run, reaffirming that she will not run. In the past, she has emphasized the importance of voting and warned about the threats posed by politicians who do not understand the needs of women.
