Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated that Russia shows no signs of being prepared for peace, emphasizing that Vladimir Putin's strategy is to wear down the West to reduce support for Ukraine. Frederiksen made these comments after the Coalition of Will's meeting in London, mentioning that Putin's recent appeal to American President Donald Trump shows his fear of a strong Ukraine. Although Trump proposed a ceasefire, Putin rejected this suggestion, demonstrating Russia's lack of willingness to stop the conflict.

In response to Russia's ongoing aggression, the Coalition of Will agreed to intensify pressure on Moscow through coordinated measures, including long-term financial support for Ukraine and boosting the defense industry. Frederiksen highlighted the recent EU sanctions and those of other states against the Russian energy sector, emphasizing that Putin's strategy of waiting for the West to give up will not succeed. Allies remain united in support of Ukraine, reaffirming their commitment to continue assistance as long as necessary.
