Dmitri Medvedev, vice president of the Security Council of Russia, stated that the fact that the United States has "kidnapped" Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has destroyed international relations and could be considered by Caracas an act of war.

"What has happened to President Nicolas Maduro is, obviously, a violation of all norms of international law. It destroys the entire system of international relations," Medvedev told Reuters.
