The two legendary boxers previously met in May 2015, when Mayweather won by points. Although there was initially talk of a confrontation at the Sphere in Las Vegas in September, Mayweather recently stated that the location is not yet set.

He emphasized that it will not be a fight in the true sense of the word, but a demonstration meant to entertain the audience. Mayweather, who has not boxed since 2017, has a perfect record of 50 wins, while Pacquiao has held titles in eight weight classes, with his last fight taking place in July.
