Tyson Fury has suggested that the long-awaited fight with Anthony Joshua is no longer going ahead and challenged Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk to another bout, which he would like to hold in November 2026.

In a message posted on social media, the British boxer claimed that Joshua had “got scared again” and that he was forced to look for another opponent. Fury addressed Usyk directly, saying that the Ukrainian had had the courage to fight him twice and proposing a rematch this year.

Fury and Usyk have met twice, with the Ukrainian winning both bouts. The Briton told him that “the ball is in your court” and asked him to announce whether he would accept another duel.

Negotiations for the fight between Fury and Anthony Joshua had been ongoing for some time, but the agreement had not been officially confirmed. Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, had previously stated that finalizing the contract depended on the boxer’s purse.

Madison Square Garden in New York was considered the leading option to host the fight, although Joshua’s team preferred Wembley Stadium in London. The Saudi company Sela, which was financing the event, reportedly wanted a larger American audience through its broadcast on Netflix.
