Emmanuel Macron emphasized the need to protect Syria's civilian population and called for a balanced dialogue to unify the country amid the recent violence that has left more than 1,000 dead. He called for justice for summary executions, including of Druze civilians, and welcomed the ceasefire as a positive step. Macron discussed political solutions and national security with the Syrian president.
