Rapper Lil Durk was acquitted of all charges, but remains in custody ahead of a second trial scheduled for October

American rapper Durk Devontay Banks, known as Lil Durk, was accused of organizing the shooting of Saviay’a Robinson, the cousin of rival rapper Quando Rondo, in an ambush carried out in 2022 at a gas station in Los Angeles. Rondo escaped unharmed.

Prosecutors argued that the attack was revenge for the killing of rapper King Von, who was affiliated with the OTF group and was killed in Atlanta in 2020. Banks was found not guilty on all five charges, including murder-for-hire and conspiracy, but remains in custody and will be tried separately on October 5 for charges of racketeering-related murder and weapons possession. Two co-defendants were convicted of harassment and conspiracy but acquitted of the murder-for-hire charges.
