The recent agreement reached by the Murdoch family allows Lachlan Murdoch, the son of Rupert Murdoch, to strengthen his control over the media empire, including Fox News and The Wall Street Journal. The succession dispute, which took place in court, ended with the sale of shares by Lachlan's siblings, James, Elisabeth, and Prudence, each receiving approximately 1.1 billion dollars. A new family trust will be created, benefiting from significant shares in the empire, thus ensuring Lachlan's control over the family business.
