Keir Starmer stated on Tuesday, in front of the House of Commons, that the bombings in Gaza have stopped, the hostages remaining alive have been released, and humanitarian aid is beginning to reach the territory, thanks to a 'historic' peace agreement brokered by American President Donald Trump. Starmer emphasized that, although the cessation of conflict brings relief, it is overshadowed by the loss of human lives. The Prime Minister called the agreement 'historic', but stressed the importance of its swift implementation. He acknowledged the essential contribution of the United States and thanked international allies, mentioning that the United Kingdom has worked discreetly with the US and other nations to facilitate the ceasefire and ensure a safer future for Israel.
