The British government rejected on Tuesday Donald Trump's criticisms, which stated that European countries are discussing the war in Ukraine too much without reaching a solution. The spokesperson for Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized that the UK plays a leading role in imposing sanctions against Russia and highlighted the number of countries involved in the Coalition of Willing. He also challenged the way Trump presented the peace negotiations, mentioning that the UK strongly supports the US-led peace plan.

Starmer will meet with the US ambassador, Warren Stephens, to discuss ongoing support for Ukraine. Trump's criticisms have sparked negative reactions from Labour MPs, and the spokesperson reaffirmed the UK's commitment to working with all parties to end the conflict.
