The incident occurred around 3:45 PM, when a 70-year-old man threw himself at Bardella and smashed an egg on his head. The man was restrained and arrested, and Bardella was not injured. After a short break of about 20 minutes, he returned to the event to continue interacting with the audience. The leadership of the RN party associated the incident with the presence of approximately 50 protesters near the event, and complaints were filed both in the name of the party and Bardella.
