On Friday, South Korea, Japan and the United States conducted a joint aerial exercise involving a US B-52 bomber and fighter jets from the two allied states in international waters. At the same time, the defense chiefs of the three countries met in Seoul, stressing the importance of trilateral cooperation in the face of threats from North Korea and challenges in the Indo-Pacific.
