JD Vance, the Vice President of the United States, stated that President Donald Trump continues to favor a diplomatic approach in relations with Iran, hoping that the Iranian authorities will take seriously the scheduled discussions for Thursday.

Vance emphasized that Trump is firm regarding the prohibition of Iran from possessing nuclear weapons and that he wishes to achieve this goal through negotiations, although he also has other options. Delegations from the US and Iran will meet in Geneva to continue discussions about Tehran's nuclear program. Vance avoided commenting on the possible withdrawal of the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, from power, but emphasized the importance of finding a reasonable solution within the framework of these diplomatic negotiations.
