On Sunday night, Israeli settlers attacked the Palestinian Christian village of Taybeh, setting fire to two vehicles and leaving racist inscriptions. The incident was confirmed by a local resident and sparked outrage from Palestinian and international officials. Taybeh, a village with a predominantly Christian population, has been repeatedly targeted by similar attacks and the UN has documented frequent settler violence in the West Bank. Recently, 70 Israeli MPs voted in favor of annexing the West Bank, heightening tensions in the region.
