On Tuesday, pro-Palestinian activists vandalized the facade of the Federal Chancellery building in Berlin, writing the word 'fälsch' (Täter, in German) in red paint. The incident occurred around 10:20 AM, and the police detained a 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, who claimed responsibility through a group called Peacefully against Genocide. They accused the German government of complicity in the violence in Israel.

After their detention, the two were released, but criminal charges were filed against them. The paint was cleaned off the building by early afternoon. This incident comes after, just a few days earlier, the same group hung a pro-Palestinian banner at the Brandenburg Gate. Pro-Palestinian activism has also been present in the past, when activists used red paint to protest against the actions of the German government.
