Israeli airstrikes that took place on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday targeted an apartment building in downtown Beirut, according to announcements from the Lebanese state media, representing the second strike in the city in recent days. So far, there is no information about casualties.
A previous attack, which occurred on Sunday, resulted in the deaths of five members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The conflict in Lebanon has escalated after Hezbollah, backed by Iran, opened fire on Israel in response to the killing of Iran's supreme leader. Following these escalations, Israel has carried out airstrikes in southern and eastern Lebanon, as well as in the southern suburbs of Beirut, resulting in nearly 500 deaths, including over 80 children, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
