On Wednesday, Israel launched the most powerful attacks on Lebanon since the beginning of the war, targeting over 100 command centers and military objectives of Hezbollah in Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanon. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries as a result of these strikes. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the ceasefire with the U.S. does not apply to Lebanon, and the attacks will continue.
The explosions shook Beirut, causing panic and the displacement of over 1.2 million people. President Emmanuel Macron called for Lebanon to be included in the ceasefire agreement, emphasizing that the country can no longer endure. In recent weeks, Israel has issued evacuation orders for 15% of Lebanese territory, and the humanitarian situation is becoming increasingly critical. Israel intends to occupy southern Lebanon up to the Litani River to protect its residents in the north. Over 1,500 people have been killed in the conflict, including many civilians.
