On Sunday, the Israeli army launched dozens of airstrikes in southern Lebanon, focusing on military infrastructures of the Hezbollah group. Residents of the village of Kafr Hata were given evacuation orders and were warned to stay at least 300 meters away from the targeted sites. Israel attacked entrances to tunnels and weapons storage locations, considering them evidence of Hezbollah's illegal reconstruction activities, which would violate the ceasefire agreement from November 2024. Although Hezbollah ceased its bombardments on northern Israel after the 2024 war, the Israeli government, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, claims that the group is rearming. The Lebanese army announced the completion of the first phase of the disarmament plan for Hezbollah, but Israel considers the measures insufficient for its security, given that it has eliminated 380 Hezbollah members since the beginning of the ceasefire.
