On Monday afternoon, the Iraqi civil aviation announced the reopening of the airspace, after Iran declared that it had concluded its military operations against Israel.
The aviation authority specified that flights to and from all Iraqi airports are now permitted and that it will continue to assess the regional situation. This decision came after Iraq closed its airspace for 72 hours on Sunday evening due to Iranian missile fire on Israel, the first since the ceasefire on April 8.
The Iranian armed forces command announced on Monday the cessation of attacks, mentioning a "severe response" to the Israeli bombings in southern Beirut. At the same time, an Israeli official stated that Israel had halted attacks on Iran at the request of the U.S. president, but would continue to strike the suburbs of southern Beirut if Hezbollah's attacks persist.
