An adviser to Iran's supreme leader has called for missile strikes on US ships and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz after the US attack on a nuclear facility.

Hossein Shariatmadari, editor-in-chief of the Kayhan newspaper, has called for missile strikes on the US navy and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to US and allied ships in response to the US attack on the Fordo nuclear power plant. His message, posted on Telegram, included a quote from the Quran and emphasized the need for immediate action against the US fleet. So far, Supreme Leader Khamenei has not officially commented on the attack.
