The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has issued an order restoring access to the internet across the entire country, according to state Iranian media.

This decision comes after nearly 90 days of restrictions, initially imposed in response to anti-government protests in January and later reintroduced in the context of the outbreak of the US-Israel war against Iran. Details about how and when Iran will reconnect to the global internet remain unclear.

Since the beginning of the war, most Iranian citizens have had limited access to the internet, and only a few have managed to bypass the restrictions using expensive VPNs. The restoration of internet services could allow for better dissemination of information about the impact of the war on the country.
